Richelle Marting is an attorney in the Kansas City area and focuses her practice on regulatory compliance and healthcare reimbursement. She has administrative and compliance experience in the long term care, ambulatory surgery, medical group, and private practice settings with multi-specialty providers. She is a Registered Health Information Administrator and certified professional coder with first-hand knowledge of the medical record challenges healthcare organizations face.

Richelle assists HIPAA covered entities and business associates in developing compliant, practical policies and procedures, advises organizations through the process of investigating complaints and reporting breaches, and has guided multiple organizations through mock and official Office for Civil Rights audits. She has extensive experience performing security risk assessments for both covered entities and business associates, has served as an expert in both privacy and reimbursement litigation matters, received national awards from the American Health Information Management Association and Health Information and Management Systems Society, and is active in local professional associations.
