Despite their good intentions and honest efforts, importers and exporters often fail to comply with the many laws governing import and export transactions. This webinar will explore the programs that the federal government offers and that are codified in the law to encourage violators to turn themselves in before the government launches a formal investigation. The submissions are called prior disclosures for importers or voluntary self-disclosures for exporters. Whether or not to turn your company in to enforcement authorities requires a firm understanding of the risks and benefits. This webinar will cover both risks and benefits to importers and exporters.
