Phil Wilson is the Founder and Chairman of The GRC Sphere and RuleSphere International web properties. He is passionate about helping companies to understand the strategic value of enterprise-wide GRC program initiatives and risk management programs. He also helps companies to implement GRC program initiatives as well as to reengineer them. Phil has attained notoriety on the topic of newly emerging “de facto” global risk management standards and approaches that drive shareholder value. Phil often provides keynote presentations for industry conferences on a variety of GRC subjects.
Mr. Wilson specializes in collaborative practices and “ways-of-working” for specialized GRC communities-of-practice. Phil also consults on GRC vendor / product assessment, technology and business approaches that concern “the business rule approach to compliance”, business rule / process automation, financial GRC, Continuous Controls Monitoring, COSO, CobiT, CMMI-For-Services, audit management, risk/ control reporting and XML for GRC. He delivers seminars, courses and full curricula for RuleSphere customers around the world.
Phil is well acquainted with technology architectures including the popular cloud approach to service provisioning. He frequently consults on pure-play multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technical architectures and solutions in GRC and BPM applications. Mr. Wilson provides the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), ISACA, and other GRC standards bodies with GRC seminars, courses and full curricula. Phil's PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) background not only includes process improvement practice management and train-the-trainer services for consultant’s assigned to highly regulated industries. Phil was 1 of 3 theatre leaders for driving the North American Supply Chain Practice; a practice which focused on document synchronization and sharing. Phil consults on process modeling, business process management, and process automation for Drupal open source Content Management System (CMS) website technology. He excels at helping clients with complex document sharing and collaboration environments in areas such as Drupal Commons, risk assessment, knowledge management, requirements management, and other new Drupal applications. Phil lives with his wife in Harvard, Massachusetts.
